ABOUT THE AUTHORS


Brian (Ghee Soon) Ang MBChB, FRCOphth, FRANZCO is a Consultant Ophthalmologist at the Glaucoma Unit of the Royal Victorian Eye & Ear Hospital in Melbourne, Australia. He completed his ophthalmology training in the United Kingdom as a Specialist Registrar in Aberdeen, and furthered his glaucoma training in Geneva, Switzerland and Wellington, New Zealand. He is actively involved in the teaching and training of medical students, optometrists, allied health professionals and junior ophthalmologists. He has published over 50 peer-reviewed scientific articles and is a reviewer for the UK National Institute for Health Research, and for ophthalmology journals such as Ophthalmology, British Journal of Ophthalmology, Eye, Clinical & Experimental Ophthalmology and Journal of Glaucoma. He currently serves as a member of the Associate Advisory Committee for the International Society of Glaucoma Surgery and the Expert Advisory Panel for Glaucoma Australia, and is the webmaster for www.vision-and-eye-health.com.


Shi Zhuan Tan MBChB is an Academic Specialty Trainee in Ophthalmology in Manchester (North Western Deanery). She graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2008, and  has a strong interest in research and academic ophthalmology.


Ken Lee Lai MBChB graduated from the University of Edinburgh, and is currently an Ophthalmology Specialty Trainee in Glasgow (West of Scotland Deanery). He is a keen advocate for charity work, and has already contributed to a Unite for Sight charity programme in India.
